1. Product Overview
The Honeywell 10001/R/1 Vertical Bus Driver (VBD) is a critical component that connects the Central Part (CP) of the FSC (Fail Safe Control) system to the I/O level. It is installed in the Central Part rack, with a maximum of 14 vertical bus drivers per CP. Each VBD can support up to 10 horizontal bus drivers (HBD).
The 10001/R/1 is an upgraded version of the 10001/1/1, providing enhanced reliability and maintainability.
The module consists of two parts:
- Electronic part (mainboard)
- Wiring part (10001/A/1)
The 96-pin connector is secured with bolts to the 19-inch rack, allowing the electronic part of the VBD to be replaced without disconnecting the vertical bus flat cable, improving maintenance efficiency.
